The Mat Source fountain from Water Connect has arrived at the Rungis Skate Park

Rungis Skate Park

We often picture drinking fountains in parks or downtown areas.
But a city also thrives in its active spaces.
This week, Water Connect installed a fountain at the Rungis skate park on Voie des Fontaines.
Yes, you can’t make this stuff up!

Did you know?
Skateboarding was born from empty swimming pools.

Bowls trace their origins to the great drought of 1976 in California.
To conserve water, the pools were left empty.
Skateboarders then discovered that these dried-up pools made perfect playgrounds, and the sport took off.

A practice born out of a water shortage… which then became a permanent fixture in the city.

Of course, today, the issue of water is more relevant than ever.

And our Water Connect fountains support the city’s new uses, even in skate parks and recreational areas.

Everywhere the city comes alive.
